Spooky Cozy October Playlist
Fall with the lights turned down. Playful, shadowy instrumentals with a little creak and a lot of candlelight, spooky enough for October and cozy enough to keep playing.

Field notes: Gently haunted instrumentals for late October
Late October has a different light. The trees are bare on one side, the mornings are misty, and every doorstep has a pumpkin. This playlist is for that stretch: groovy, theatrical instrumentals that wink at the season without ever going into jump-scare territory.
It borrows from the Cypress Manor and Dino Land records and from the darkest songs of Endless Forest, all by Purrple Cat. They are the quirkiest tracks in the catalog: carousel waltzes, skeleton dances, creaking bells and a few things in the walls.
Play it at a dinner party, while carving pumpkins or while you read something ghostly. If little ones are around, the earliest tracks are playful; the later ones get shadowier.
